No.  If your child has previously played a sport with Pelham Recreation Department, the Birth Certificate is on file and does not need to be provided.
What division will my child play in?

Top

Your child's league age is determined by what his age is on April 30th of the current year.  For instance, if your child's birthday is April 20th and he will be 7 years old, then he would be classified for the 7 & 8 Year Old Division.  If your child's birthday is May 7th and he will be 7 years old, then he would be classified for the 5 & 6 Year Old Division.
Age on April 30th Division
5 5 & 6 Years Old
6 5 & 6 Years Old
7 7 & 8 Years Old
8 7 & 8 Years Old
9 9 & 10 Years Old
10 9 & 10 Years Old
11 11 & 12 Years Old
12 11 & 12 Years Old
13 13 & 14 Years Old

Can my child "play down" a Division?

Top

Yes.  If you feel that your child should stay down in a Division below his League Age, you may discuss this with Billy Crandall, Director of Parks and Recreation.  Arrangements can be made for him to play in a lower Division.  He will not be eligible for All-Stars if he is older than the designated League Age.

How do I know if a game has been rained out?

Top

he information may be posted on the official Pelham Online Website if the decision was made early in the day.  The BEST way to find out if a game has been rained out is to call the Pelham Park and Recreation Department at 620-6426.  If no one answers, there should be a recording stating if the park is open or if the games have been rained out.
